Equine Massage: Comfort & Connection with Lisa Turcotte

Please join us for Equine Massage: Comfort & Connection, a full-day clinic (6 hours) of learning and practicing with your horse. Lisa Turcotte will teach each horse owner general massage techniques and where to use them on your horse, including:
- Effleurage,
- Light Compressions,
- Cross Fiber Friction,
- Gentle Poll/Head Techniques,
- Tall/Mane Sequencing,
- Myofascial Release,
- Reading “Yes/No” Signals, and
- When to Call a Professional.
The teaching format will include lecture, a full-group demo, partner practice, and small-group (4-person/horse per pod) supervision of learned techniques.
Lisa Turcotte’s Bio
Lisa is a graduate from the Bancroft School of Massage with a specialized focus on equine therapy. The knowledge and skills she acquired during her education have empowered her to provide comprehensive care and support to horses in pain, helping them find comfort and restore their range of motion.
Lisa also served as the Equine Program Administrator and an instructor at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, where she continued to impart her expertise and passion for equine massage therapy to future practitioners. She is also a member of the National Board of Certification for Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM.org), where she actively contributes to advancing and regulating standards for equine massage therapy. She has expanded her expertise through coursework in Equine Manual Lymph Drainage, Applied Kinesiology Taping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Equine Acupressure.
